Candy Dance’s Sloppy Joes

This recipe is from my good friend Candy Dance.   It has always been a favorite.  The only glitch is that it requires Nance’s Chili Sauce, which can only be acquired in the North East.  It’s becoming a hit here in Alaska so maybe they will start selling it here.  The recipe can easily be doubled or tripled, depending only on the size of you Crock Pot.

A really easy and delicious Sloppy Joe Recipe. The only glitch is it requires Nance's Chili Sauce, if you can get it.

  • 1 1/2lb Chop Meat
  • 2 ribs Cellery (Diced)
  • 1 Medium Onion (Diced)
  • 1 jar Nance's Chili Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worchestershire Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Sweet Pickle Relish
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • Hamburger Buns

1. Brown the Meat with the Celery and Onion and drain.
2. Combine with the rest of the ingredients in a Crock Pot and cook on low for 3 - 4 hours.
3. Serve on Hamburger Buns

This recipe can be easily doubled, tripled, quadrupled, etc. depending on the size of your Crop Pot.
